Cindy Sher is the Executive Editor of
Jewish Chicago: The JUF Magazine.
She is proud to have longevity with her career -- especially considering her Gen X status -- coming to work for the Jewish people and JUF just one month after her college graduation in 2000.
Cindy earned her Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in 2000. In 2017, she earned her Executive Masters of Arts in Jewish Professional Studies at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership -- in the program's inaugural class. She completed her certificate of Jewish Learning from the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning in 2019.
She also writes a monthly personal column through a Jewish woman's lens on topics varying from reflections on Jewish holidays to the resurgence in antisemitism to marrying later than the typical bride.
She loves -- in no particular order -- 80s music, movies from all decades, mentoring grade school students, birthday cake, her husband, and her friends and family.
